We're looking for ten new colleagues

Help build the AI‑platform of Europe

We are HostYourAI, a young startup from Groningen. We're building the European alternative to the big American AI clouds, and Loes, our own Dutch AI assistant. Small team, big ambition, lots of fun.

How we work

Good fun, with a serious mission

A small team, short lines and plenty of laughter. Meanwhile we are building serious AI infrastructure for all of Europe, and Loes.

Work from anywhere

We work remotely, from within the Netherlands. Our HQ is in Groningen; that's where we regularly meet for work, drinks and good coffee.

Two team weeks a year

Twice a year the whole team gets on a plane: a week somewhere in Europe building together, eating well and having fun.

In from the start

You join the first team, with all the room and responsibility that comes with it. And above all: the chance to be part of this journey from the very start.

Customer Success Officer

Remote (Netherlands), headquarters Groningen Full-time

We have two products: HostYourAI, where companies run AI models in Europe, and Loes, our own Dutch language model. Our customers range from someone chatting with Loes at home to a corporate with its own environment at ours. You make sure all of them are well looked after, and you build the team that does it.

What you'll do
  • Lead sales, customer success and our customer contact centre, and decide together with that team how we work.
  • Organise the work per kind of customer: consumers and small businesses self-service where possible, public sector and corporates with a named contact and their own approach.
  • Stay in touch with our larger customers and partners, and be there when it matters: at the start, an expansion or a renewal.
  • Translate what customers say for the product teams. You're the first to know where things rub, and you make sure the product owners know too.
  • Grow the team: hire and onboard sales and customer success colleagues.
What we ask
  • Experience leading customer success, account management or sales at a software or SaaS company.
  • You know the difference between a small business and a government body, and you adapt your approach.
  • You can explain technical topics in plain language. You don't need to be an engineer, but you are genuinely curious about how it works.
  • You like building processes rather than stepping into an existing one.
  • Fluent Dutch and fluent English.
What we offer
  • A competitive salary at the top of the market, plus a bonus on results.
  • Remote work, with our HQ in Groningen. Twice a year the whole team spends a week abroad together.
  • A seat on the management team of a startup showing that Europe can build and host AI itself.

Send your CV, a short motivation and your LinkedIn profile: who you are, what team you've built and why this appeals to you.

Customer Success Manager

Remote (Netherlands), headquarters Groningen Full-time or four days

Every question that reaches us, by email, through the site or in chat, lands in our customer contact centre. We built it ourselves, with Loes suggesting a first reply. You'll be the one running it.

What you'll do
  • Answer customer questions about HostYourAI and Loes, or make sure the right colleague picks them up, and follow them until they're really solved.
  • Make sure nobody is left waiting: customers, partners and applicants all get an answer in time.
  • Keep contacts, companies and labels in order, so everyone can see what's going on with a customer.
  • Write up answers that keep coming back in the handbook and help pages, so the next question goes faster.
  • Tell the product owners and engineers what customers run into. A good bug report from you is worth gold to us.
What we ask
  • Experience in customer service, support or customer success, preferably at a software company.
  • You write clearly and kindly, in Dutch and in English.
  • You're precise: an email left unanswered bothers you.
  • You enjoy understanding how a product works, also when it gets technical.
What we offer
  • A good salary.
  • Remote work, with our HQ in Groningen. Twice a year the whole team spends a week abroad together.
  • Room to help shape the contact centre. What you need, we build.

Sales & Accounts (mid-level)

Remote (Netherlands), headquarters Groningen Full-time

You'll strengthen our commercial team, talking to customers across Europe every day. From 2 August 2026 the new European AI rules apply, and more and more companies are looking for exactly what we offer.

What you'll do
  • You run our inbound sales and customer support. You pick up new sign-ups from our site, understand what they need and get them on their way.
  • You work online across every channel: email, chat, LinkedIn, video. And you pick up the phone or drop by in person when that makes the difference.
  • Grow existing customers: stay in touch, think along, spot room to expand.
  • Approach software agencies in the Netherlands and beyond that build AI for their end clients. One agency brings several customers at once.
  • Close deals together with the founder: you do the groundwork and the first conversations, she closes. As you grow, you close them yourself.
What we ask
  • A few years of experience in IT or SaaS sales, or in a commercial role at a software company.
  • You can explain technical topics in plain language. You don't need to be an engineer, but you are genuinely curious about how it works.
  • Independent and hands-on. You help build the sales and support process instead of stepping into an existing one.
  • Fluent Dutch and fluent English.
What we offer
  • A competitive salary at the top of the market, plus a bonus on results.
  • Remote work, with our HQ in Groningen. Twice a year the whole team spends a week abroad together.
  • The chance to build the commercial side of a startup from day one and be part of this journey from the very start.
Apply via info@hostyourai.com

Send a short introduction: who you are, what you've sold and why this appeals to you. No formal cover letter needed.

Loes

Product Owner Loes

Remote (Netherlands), headquarters Groningen Full-time

Loes is our own Dutch language model. People chat with it on chat.loes.ai and in the apps, organisations get their own Loes, and in our AI Lab we build the next models. We're getting two product owners, one for HostYourAI and one for Loes. You'll be the one for Loes.

What you'll do
  • Own everything a Loes user sees: the web app and mobile apps, Loes for organisations and customers' own environments.
  • Decide what gets built first, and why. You keep the backlog and write the work up so an engineer can get going.
  • Work daily with product engineering, design and the AI Lab where the models are made.
  • Talk to users and customers, together with customer success, and look at how Loes is really used.
  • Guard the choices that make Loes Loes: hosted in Europe, sovereign, and always a fully European option too.
What we ask
  • Experience as product owner or product manager of a consumer or SaaS product.
  • You don't code yourself, but you hold your own with engineers and you understand what a language model can and can't do.
  • You make choices, and you can explain why something isn't happening now.
  • Fluent Dutch and fluent English.
What we offer
  • A competitive salary at the top of the market.
  • Remote work, with our HQ in Groningen. Twice a year the whole team spends a week abroad together.
  • Ownership of a Dutch AI product people use every day.
Apply via info@hostyourai.com

Send your CV, a short motivation and your LinkedIn profile. Tell us about a product decision you're proud of.

Loes

Product Engineer Loes

Remote (Netherlands), headquarters Groningen Full-time

At Loes you're close to the user. You build the features people work with every day, from a new button in the chat to a connection with a customer's software.

What you'll do
  • Build on the web app, the mobile apps and Loes for organisations: new features, and making existing ones better and faster.
  • Work on the layer around the model: web search, documents, connections with other software, and how Loes uses them.
  • Set up customers' own environments and help connect them to their systems.
  • Work with the Product Owner Loes, design and the AI Lab, and help decide what we build.
What we ask
  • Experience as a full-stack developer on software with real users.
  • You enjoy Python and JavaScript, and you have or want experience with language models, prompts and tool calling.
  • You think from the user: you want to know why something gets built, not only how.
  • Fluent English. You must be based in the Netherlands.
What we offer
  • A competitive salary at the top of the market.
  • Remote work, with our HQ in Groningen. Twice a year the whole team spends a week abroad together.
  • Work on a product you see people use straight away.

Send your CV, a short motivation and your LinkedIn profile, plus something you've built. A link says more than a CV.

Loes

Context Engineer Loes

Remote (Netherlands), headquarters Groningen Full-time

How well Loes answers depends largely on what the model gets to see: the instructions, the sources we look up for it, the tools it may use and what it remembers of a conversation. You are the one who designs, measures and keeps improving that.

What you'll do
  • Write and maintain the instructions and character of Loes, so Loes sounds like Loes, in Dutch and in other languages.
  • Design the layer around the model: when Loes searches the web or looks in documents, which sources come in and how they end up in the answer.
  • Describe tools and connections so the model picks and uses them well, also in long conversations.
  • Measure whether a change is really better: build test sets, judge answers and compare the results across models.
  • Work with the Product Owner Loes, the Product Engineer and the AI Lab. What you learn about good conversations also goes into the training data.
What we ask
  • Experience building applications on language models: prompts, retrieval (RAG), tool calling or agents.
  • You enjoy working in Python and you would rather measure than guess.
  • You write well, and you hear the difference between an answer that is right and one that also reads well.
  • Fluent Dutch and fluent English. You must be based in the Netherlands.
What we offer
  • A competitive salary at the top of the market.
  • Remote work, with our HQ in Groningen. Twice a year the whole team spends a week abroad together.
  • Direct influence on how a Dutch AI model that people use every day talks.
Apply via info@hostyourai.com

Send your CV, a short motivation and your LinkedIn profile. Show us something you've built or improved with a language model.

Platform

Platform AI Engineer

Remote (Netherlands), headquarters Groningen Full-time

You'll be one of HostYourAI's first engineers. What you build today runs at customers across Europe tomorrow.

What you'll do
  • Keep building our hosting platform: customers pick a model, we automatically arrange a GPU with one of our European providers and put the model live.
  • Guard reliability: monitoring, automatic recovery when a GPU fails, keeping costs under control.
  • Help build our own Dutch models (Loes): training, testing and shipping them.
  • Help decide what we build. In a small team everyone has direct influence.
What we ask
  • Experience with software in production: servers, deployments, things breaking at 3 a.m. (we try to prevent that, but you know how it goes).
  • Experience with, or a strong interest in, running AI models (think vLLM, CUDA, GPUs). You don't need to know everything, learning fast is what counts.
  • Comfortable doing backend work. We use PHP (Laravel) and Python; experience with either is enough.
  • Fluent English. You must be based in the Netherlands.
  • Independent. There's no manager spelling out your work for you.
What we offer
  • A competitive salary at the top of the market.
  • Remote work, with our HQ in Groningen. Twice a year the whole team spends a week abroad together.
  • A spot on the first team of a startup, with all the room and responsibility that comes with it. And above all: the chance to be part of this journey from the very start.

Inference & Model Quality Engineer

Remote (Netherlands), headquarters Groningen Full-time

We run open models on GPUs across Europe and are building our own Dutch model, Loes. You make sure those models run fast, reliably and affordably, and that we know how good each model really is.

What you'll do
  • Get models running, and keep them running, on our GPUs: vLLM now, SGLang next. Figure out what fits where and at what price, from VRAM estimates to quantization.
  • Measure and improve throughput and latency, and keep the cost per token sharp.
  • Build an eval harness that holds every model we host to the same standard: quality, Dutch, grounding, tool calling, speed.
  • Make Loes better: build datasets, run finetunes and measure whether a new version really beats the previous one.
  • Publish model cards and benchmarks, including the transparency information the AI Act requires per model.
What we ask
  • Experience running models on GPUs (vLLM, SGLang or similar), training or finetuning language models (SFT, DPO, LoRA), or both.
  • You measure instead of trusting your gut: benchmarks, evals, and statistics where needed.
  • Python, Linux and containers, and the usual tooling around them (Hugging Face, PyTorch). You don't need to know everything, learning fast is what counts.
  • Fluent English. Dutch is a genuine plus, because you judge the quality of Loes most sharply in your own language.

Send a short introduction and something you've made faster, cheaper or better. No formal cover letter needed.

Platform

Frontend Engineer

Remote (Netherlands), headquarters Groningen Full-time

Everything a customer sees of us is yours. The environment where people pick a model, try it out and put it live, and soon also our own chat and the version of our platform that other hosts will run themselves.

What you'll do
  • Build and care for our customer environment: from picking a model to the playground where you try it right away.
  • Lead the move to Vue 3 and rebuild our components sharply in it.
  • Help build the white-label version of our platform, which other hosts will soon run under their own brand.
  • Make sure it looks good and works well: accessible, fast, and on every screen.
  • Think along about the product. In a small team you help decide what gets built.
What we ask
  • Solid experience with modern frontend work: JavaScript, components, state and build tooling. We use Vue; if you come from React or Svelte, that is fine.
  • An eye for design. You don't need to be a designer, but you see the difference between almost right and right.
  • You build with the user in mind: accessibility, load time, and what someone sees when something goes wrong.

Operations

Back Office & Operations

Remote, now and then in Groningen Part-time or full-time

A fast-growing startup has a lot to arrange besides the product. You make sure it is well arranged, so the rest of the team can focus on customers and product. You work with Sander, who keeps everything running here.

What you'll do
  • Finance: invoices, payments, and contact with the bookkeeper and the accountant.
  • Grants: track applications, watch deadlines and prepare the reporting.
  • People matters: contracts, onboarding new colleagues, leave and keeping the handbook up to date.
  • Calendar and planning for the founder and the team, and arranging team weeks, travel and appointments.
  • Office and administration: mail, insurance, registrations, everything that would otherwise be left lying.
What we ask
  • Experience in a back office, office manager or operations role, preferably at a small or fast-growing company.
  • You are precise and you like to keep the overview.
  • You work independently and see for yourself what needs doing.
  • Fluent Dutch and good English.
What we offer
  • A good salary.
  • Remote work, with a day in Groningen now and then. Twice a year the whole team spends a week abroad together.
  • A place in a startup where you notice straight away what your work brings.
